Secure your perimeter with not just a firewall but a secure gateway to all your IT resources. Deploying PDS is the first step in running a secure LAN. Some of the features include:
- Network Gateway Security: Firewall and multiple network zones (LAN, Wifi, Internet, DMZ and local private cloud)
- Web security: HTTP (Web) Caching, Proxy and Filtering (with authentication and usage reports). Caching can also be used to greatly reduce latency of remotely running application/data
- Local Network services: DNS with Caching, DHCP, Network Monitoring and Logging, Internet Connection Sharing & Redundancy (can load balance between multiple internet connections or do automatic switchover to backup when primary goes down)
- Secure Access: Ability to tunnel to remote servers securely (via VPN/SSL tunnel, etc.). Can also provide VPN service for remote users as well as facilitate secure remote desktop support
- Control of Network: The PDS system can be used to protect local IT assets (DMZ), keep a tightly controlled perimeter around the LAN, securely connect the LAN to a remote IT asset and protect the LAN from external threats
